MASS LOBBY OF PARLIAMENT AGAINST EUTHANASIA!
on 27 and 28 April/04 at House of Commons

Dear brothers
Dear sisters

Assalamu Alaykum

Can we ask for your help?
Can we ask you to do your Islamic duty?
Can we ask you to do a small job in order to protect the life of patients and your parents and grannies from been KILLED in hospitals if they were admitted for any medical or social reason ,and without you been aware? ?

Simply EXPRESS YOUR OPPOSITION TO YOUR MEMBER OF THE PARLIAMENT/MP AND JOIN ALL GOOD PEOPLE/GOOD CHRISTIANS IN THE UK IN THE MASS LOBBY ,BY COMING TO THE PARLIAMENT on the 27(Tuesday) April or 28(Wednesday) April ,IN ORDER TO SEE YOUR MP AND TO INCIST ON ASKING HIM/HER TO OPPOSE THIS DANGEROUS BILL ON EUTHANASIA BY NEGLECT, called:
DRAFT MENTAL INCAPACITY BILL

This Bill if we do not stop it and oppose it , it will put the sick and elderly people and persons with disabilities at risk ..and will cause their slow and painful death from lack of food(starvation) and from lack of fluids(dehydration) : EUTHANASIA BY NEGLECT!!!!
The proposed Bill will forces doctors to WITHHOLD ordinary medical care from some patients when they are no longer able to speak for themselves!

It will put some very vulnerable patients whose" quality of life" is regarded as "poor", at risk of death/KILLING due to the deprivation of food and fluids ! ...
This will also open the door for "the right to be killed"..giving patients"a right to die" and forcing doctors to accept:"a duty to kill !"

This is UNETHICAL AND DANGEROUS!

More important, it is against ALLAH,the Owner of every human life, and who has fixed before, the moment of death for every one of us..and against the teachings of Islam which incist on the RIGHT FOR FOOD AND FLUIDS for every human being(and animal too) whether one is sick or healthy..
Besides,it is not allowed in Islam for any doctor or patient to have ANY INTENTION to end one's life!

SUICIDE and ASSISTED SUICIDE/EUTHANASIA ,even by NEGLECT,ARE FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM!

IT IS A DUTY AND A MUST ON EVERY MUSLIM AND EVERY HUMAN BEING AND EVERY CITIZEN IN ENGLAND AND WALES TO WRITE TO THEIR MEMBERS OF THE PARLIAMENT,asking him or her to OPPOSE THIS MENTAL INCAPACITY DRAFT BILL AND TO WITHDRAW IT FULLY,for the sake of our patients, and in order to protect their natural life till their natural moment of death...

You write as a British citizen living in the constituency of your Member of Parliament,who is supposed to listen and to act according to your view,after all he/she was elected for that.

And you oppose it on humane grounds,on medical grounds and on religious grounds..
British Muslims have been neglected for longtimes this facility and this power in their hands...to write to their MPs...and to try to reinforce laws which are close to muslim culture and beliefs or to oppose any which is against their muslim beliefs...

Now it is in your hands..brothers and sisters...just few minutes of your time,write few lines letter and send it to your MP,expressing your right and your view...
the MP after has a duty to convey your message and to act on it in the Parliament..Remember also one important thing:

THE MORE THE MP RECEIVE LETTERS,THE MORE HE/SHE WILL ACT ACCORDINGLY AND IMPLEMENT YOUR REQUEST IN THE PARLIAMENT BEFORE THE BILL BEEN DECIDED AS A LAW!

Many MPs told me:
DR KATME, tell your muslim community,to use this WEAPON:a LETTER to their MPs..and the more the number of letters received..the more the chance to implement their requests and views..
Any muslim family can send at least 4-5 letters...

The other more effective method to put our muslim message across is for every muslim to make an appointment with their MP,in order to see him/her in the Parliament on the 27 or the 28 April ,as all people in England and wales,from all faiths,will be coming on these two days only to see their MPs and all will be asking their MPs one issue only:OPPOSE AND WITHDRAW the DRAFT MENTAL INCAPACITY BILL....(THIS IS CALLED MASS LOBBY).

Please muslims learn this new procedure for your rights and beliefs and JOIN IN THE MASS LOBBY..
Otherwise the least you can do is to write to your Member of Parliament asking him/her

TO OPPOSE this unhumane/KILLING Bill!.

-informing the imam to mention it in Friday Khutba
-E mail it to all muslim contacts you know
-Put it on the websites
-Put it in the Newspapers/magazines etc..
-Mention it in your Lectures/functions/study circles etc..

We do have a lot of LEAFLETS on the issue from the Society for the Protection of unborn Children for Distribution to the muslims especially after Friday prayer..
